Solef® PVDF Properties

  1. Excellent chemical resistance to most aggressive substances and solvents

  2. Chemically inert to most acids, aliphatic and aromatic organic compounds, chlorinated solvents, etc.

  3. Excellent mechanical strength and toughness

  4. High abrasion resistance, comparable to that of polyamides

  5. High temperature capabilities: continuous use service temperature up to 150°C (302°F)

  6. Excellent ageing resistance

  7. High purity

  8. Low coefficient of friction

  9. Unaffected by UV and good resistance to gamma radiation

  10. Excellent intrinsic fire resistance

  11. Low permeability to most gases and liquids

  12. Can be thermoformed

  13. Easily joined by welding

  14. Physiologically harmless, approved for food contact
