Pan Coating Process

Pan Coating Process

We thought it might be helpful to give you a general description of our coating process.  Of course, there are many variations, and we have worked out the optimal combination of coating material and process for each type of commercial bakery equipment and how it is used.

First, the customer provides the equipment to be coated.  We clean it by burning off organic materials at a high temperature in one of our ovens and then by sandblasting it.  One of our expert coaters uses a PTFE-based liquid to coat the equipment with a spray gun that is powered by compressed air.  Finally, we cure the coating in one of our ovens.  We use at least the minimum temperatures specified by the FDA for the burnoff and the curing.
